For our first of hopefully many topics we chose PRAYER! Prayer is how we communicate with our Heavenly Father! If Jesus hadn't shed His blood to cover our sins we wouldn't even be good enough to pray to God much less spend eternity with Him! Through Jesus we are able to have a personal relationship with our Creator!!! We are able to ask Him for help and tell Him our troubles no matter how small or how great! "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8) Have you ever prayed for help to find the remote? I have! Have you ever prayed for a person's very life? I have! We have freedom through Jesus to pray in all situations big or small! Just look at Psalms! Songs or prayers of praise and prayers in desperation. Prayers begging for safety and prayers of rejoicing! (Later we will discus rejoicing in all things.) Pray and pray without ceasing! Your day, your life should be a constant and on going prayer! It doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be formal all the time. He is your Father and He wants you to come to Him with EVERYTHING! Prayer is one of God's greatest gifts He has given us. Don't wast it!
